JKS 3500E Electric drum trailer
JKS Products is introducing a new electric cable reel trailer to the market, developed in collaboration with the University of Oulu. This innovative device is designed with environmental and user-friendliness in mind. The hydraulics and internal combustion engine have been replaced with a battery and electric actuators, making the product emission-free, silent, and more efficient than traditional hydraulic models. The development of the new cable reel trailer is driven by responsibility and sustainable development.
We presented the prototype at the Tampere Network Fair on January 22-23, 2025, and the trailer has since been in trial use at, among others, KNK-Networks, which has received very positive feedback on the trailer´s operation even in extreme conditions (frosts above -20 degrees). Automatic heating of the battery and inverter housings enables operation in severe frosts. The production version is currently under construction for spring 2026.
